When I first saw a Rakugo in English performance, I knew I wanted to do this. I joined the group a few months later and was made very welcome with true Japanese hospitality. I made my debut in November 2007. I was extremely nervous as I was taking part in a traditional Japanese art form, that has been performed for very many years. It was my first time too to wear a formal kimono, Wearing a kimono is an art form in itself!! This year I will perform my 'talking flowers' in September in Hikone but will wear a summer yukata instead of a kimono. I feel very privileged to be part of a Rakugo group and through friends I have made there, have entered into a comic world. Our monthly workshop meetings are great fun. Thank you to everyone for your encouragement and friendship. Cyanのおうちは、チョウー日本的。 藍染めののれん、こたつ、和紙でできた電気の傘、床にひいたござ、ベランダの風鈴。 そして、写真の坪庭! 池にはめだかいました。みえるかな?
